A prospect of a check in the mail seemed to agree with Wall Street. A deal announced in Washington for tax rebates to stimulate the economy helped the major stock averages add nicely to yesterday's gains. The microcap had a lovely day with TGLO leading the way with a 112% gain. Also, StockTalkLIVE brought WTCG, VTLV, and HBSC to the table, all gaining 70% and more! The Dow and Nasdaq experienced drastic losses at the open today spurring the Feds to a rate cut of 75 basis points. Even the cut did not ease concerns that we may already be in a recession. The penny markets were closely followed today on StockTalkLIVE, however there seemed to be no recession concerns in pennyland. CPRK (formerly IBCD) took off at the opening bell and soared to another 30% gain - making this a 5000% gainer since it began it's incredible climb! Wall Street has not been kind taking us into the new year. The DJIA has dropped 5%, the worst start since 1991. Both fear and greed are evident.
